The screensaver problem is clearly caused by a software bug. Navigate to System Preferences, go to Desktop & Screen Saver, and select the screensaver folder you want to use. Many users confirmed the screensaver bug doesn’t affect these folders. For example, you can use Monterey, Message, Word of the Day, or Arabesque. If the issue persists, select a screensaver folder that doesn’t require access to a photo album. Additionally, disable Dark Mode and check the results.
